OUR MASCOT

Work hard to reduce the suffering of dogs and cats, who are unwanted by their previous owners or who have lived as strays on the streets of Missouri, by finding them permanent loving homes. 

Our volunteers work tirelessly to provide food, temporary shelter, and avenues for adoption to caring and loving forever homes.

Little Mayflower pictured above was found abandoned in the middle of a busy intersection.  We officially crowned Mayflower, King of Petsearch St. Louis.  Visit Mayflower every Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 - 3:00 at the Petco in Chesterfield, Missouri - He will be waiting to greet you!

BLACK DOGS ARE BEAUTIFUL- BLACK DOGS WAITING FOR ADOPTION

Did you know that large black dogs are often passed over by people looking to adopt a dog because the dog appears scary or mean?  Because they are often passed over, they end up living at the shelters for a long time or even worse when they are not lucky enough to  make it into a safe shelter.  I would like to tell you the story about our Big Black Scary Mean Dog we named Bear - Read The Story.

Beagle and Beagle mix dogs make wonderful pets.  They are a curious breed and have a way of making you laugh.  They love to use their noses to sniff out fun.  As volunteers for Petsearch STL we have personally adopted 3 beagles and a day never goes by that we don't wonder why - just kidding!  We love them all very dearly.  Every day they show us how much they love us by wagging their tails until they almost fall off!

WHAT YOU CAN DO

  • Adopt a deserving dog or cat and provide them with a loving, caring home.  Simply visit us any Saturday or Sunday at the PETCO in Chesterfield MO.  We are located inside the store.

  • Provide donations of all types - check out our wish list. 

  • Please spay or neuter! For low cost spay and neuter, please call 636-597-4808

Rescued dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens are shown at the PETCO in Chesterfield, Missouri Saturday and Sundays from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Except the weekend of the 4th Sun of ea. Month.

Please do not call or ask PETCO about the animals.  They do not have any information.  they ARE VERY GRACIOUS TO PROVIDE US WITH FLOOR SPACE AND DO SO As a public service ONLY.

PETCO is located at the corner of Clarkson & Baxter, in the Clarkson Square Shopping Center, in Chesterfield Missouri.

Our Policy

All of our animals are current on worm medicine and vaccinations. Adoption fees includes the cost to spay/neuter the pet.  All of our cats have been tested and are Feline Leukemia and Aids Negative.  Adoption fees include the cost of having the pet spayed or neutered.
